Bobsleje na zimowych igrzyskach olimpijskich
Zawody bobslejowe po raz pierwszy rozegrane zostały na zimowych igrzyskach olimpijskich w 1924 roku w Chamonix. Odtąd dyscyplina ta znajduje się w programie każdych zimowych igrzysk. Jedynie w 1960 roku, w Squaw Valley olimpijskich zawodów bobslejowych nie rozgrywano.
Od 2002 roku w Salt Lake City do walki o olimpijskie medale włączyły się kobiety, startując w konkurencji dwójek.
