Bridgestone Doubles Championships 1979 został rozegrany na dywanowych kortach w hali w Tokio w dniach 2–8 kwietnia 1979 roku. Tytułu miała bronić para Billie Jean King – Martina Navrátilová, lecz nie wystartowała w turnieju. Po tytuł sięgnęła ubiegłoroczna finalistka Françoise Durr, grająca z nową partnerką – Betty Stöve. W meczu o trzecie miejsce zwyciężyły Australijki Kerry Reid i Wendy Turnbull.

The version with a profile view was based on Flags of the World and as a fictional design has no status warranting a place on any Wiki.
