Eureka – jednostka osadnicza w Stanach Zjednoczonych,w stanie Nevada, stolica hrabstwa Eureka. W roku 1990 liczba mieszkańców wyniosła 650. Jest jedynym miastem w tym hrabstwie. Pozostali obywatele rozsiani są po wsiach. Do atrakcji należą: gmach opery zbudowanej w 1880 roku i przywrócony w 1993 r. oraz Museum Sentinel Eureka, gdzie w 1879 r. znajdowała się redakcja Gazety Sentinel Eureka.
Geografia
Leży na południu Diamond Mountain Range, pomiędzy wsiami Kobeh i Newark.
Przez miasto przebiega Autostrada Międzystanowa nr 50, nazywana Najsamotniejszą drogą w Ameryce. Jest to trafne określenie, gdyż najbliższymi miastami przez który przechodzi ta droga to Austin 114 km. (71 mil) na zachód i Ely 134 km. (84 mile) na wschód. Najbliższym miastem jest Duckwater 94 km (59 mil) na południe.
Historia
Pierwsze budynki powstały w 1864 roku. Wówczas, było tutaj hrabstwo Lander. Zbudowali je poszukiwacze złóż mineralnych z Austin, którzy odkryli żyłę srebra w pobliskim Peak Prospect. Nowi mieszkańcy mieli daleko do władz i ośrodków handlowych, zatem w 1873 roku miasto stało się stolicą nowego hrabstwa o tej samej nazwie. Przez wiele lat górnictwo było podstawą gospodarki, a pobliskie złoża były drugim, najbogatszym źródłem srebra po Comstock Lode w Nevadzie. Najwyższą liczbę ludności osiągnięto w 1878 roku, gdy wyniosła 9000. Zaczęła gwałtownie spadać, gdy kopalnie stały się nieopłacalne. Obecnie, źródłem dochodów jest obsługa samochodów przejeżdżających Autostradą Międzystanową oraz turystów, chcących zobaczyć prawdziwy Dziki Zachód.

The flag of Navassa Island is simply the United States flag. It does not have a "local" flag or "unofficial" flag; it is an uninhabited island. The version with a profile view was based on Flags of the World and as a fictional design has no status warranting a place on any Wiki. It was made up by a random person with no connection to the island, it has never flown on the island, and it has never received any sort of recognition or validation by any authority. The person quoted on that page has no authority to bestow a flag, "unofficial" or otherwise, on the island.
Flag of the State of Nevada. The flag is described in Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 235, Sec. 20 as follows: The body of the flag must be of solid cobalt blue. On the field in the upper left quarter thereof must be two sprays of Sagebrush with the stems crossed at the bottom to form a half wreath. Within the sprays must be a five-pointed silver star with one point up. The word “Nevada” must also be inscribed below the star and above the sprays, in a semicircular pattern with the letters spaced apart in equal increments, in the same style of letters as the words “Battle Born.” Above the wreath, and touching the tips thereof, must be a scroll bearing the words “Battle Born.” The scroll and the word “Nevada” must be golden-yellow. The lettering on the scroll must be black-colored sans serif gothic capital letters.
