Bieg na 60 m przez płotki kobiet – jedna z konkurencji rozgrywanych podczas 14. Halowych Mistrzostw Świata w Ataköy Atletizm Salonu w Stambule.
Biegi eliminacyjne zaplanowano na piątek 9 marca, a półfinał i finał na sobotę 10 marca. Złotego medalu wywalczonego w 2010 roku nie broniła Amerykanka LoLo Jones[1][2][3].
Halową rekordzistką świata w biegu na 60 metrów przez płotki była Szwedka Susanna Kallur, która 10 lutego 2008 w Karlsruhe uzyskała czas 7.68. Najszybszą biegaczką w sezonie halowym 2012 na tym dystansie była Kristi Castlin z USA (7,83). Rekord halowych mistrzostw świata wynikiem 7,72 ustanowiła podczas mistrzostw w 2010 roku w Dosze LoLo Jones.

Flag of Jamaica. “The sunshine, the land is green, and the people are strong and bold” is the symbolism of the colours of the flag. GOLD represents the natural wealth and beauty of sunlight; GREEN represents hope and agricultural resources; BLACK represents the strength and creativity of the people. The original symbolism, however, was "Hardships there are, but the land is green, and the sun shineth", where BLACK represented the hardships being faced.
