Bieg na 400 metrów kobiet – jedna z konkurencji biegowych rozgrywanych podczas halowych lekkoatletycznych mistrzostw świata w Oregon Convention Center w Portland.
Tytułu mistrzowskiego z 2014 roku nie broniła Amerykanka Francena McCorory.
Minimum kwalifikacyjne
Aby zakwalifikować się do mistrzostw, należało wypełnić minimum kwalifikacyjne wynoszące 53,15 (hala) lub 51,20 na otwartym stadionie (uzyskane w okresie od 1 stycznia 2015 do 7 marca 2016)[1].

Flag of Jamaica. “The sunshine, the land is green, and the people are strong and bold” is the symbolism of the colours of the flag. GOLD represents the natural wealth and beauty of sunlight; GREEN represents hope and agricultural resources; BLACK represents the strength and creativity of the people. The original symbolism, however, was "Hardships there are, but the land is green, and the sun shineth", where BLACK represented the hardships being faced.
