Historia
Higashiōsaka (Higashi-Ōsaka) otrzymała status miasta szczebla -shi (市) w dniu 1 lutego 1967 roku. Powstała z połączenia trzech miasteczek: Fuse (布施), Kawachi (河内) i Hiraoka (枚岡).
