Hrabstwo Cherokee – hrabstwo położone w Stanach Zjednoczonych we wschodniej części stanu Teksas[2]. Utworzone w 1856 r., poprzez wydzielenie terytorium z hrabstwa Nacogdoches[1]. Największym miastem hrabstwa jest Jacksonville, lecz siedzibą władz hrabstwa jest Rusk. Nazwa hrabstwa pochodzi od Indian Czirokezów (ang. Cherokee), których rezerwat istniejący się w latach 1820-1863 obejmował częściowo teren hrabstwa[3].
Na terenie hrabstwa znajduje się rezerwat przyrody, objęty ochroną w ramach systemu National Wildlife Refuge o nazwie Neches River National Wildlife Refuge[4].

W 2020 roku 81,2% mieszkańców hrabstwa stanowiła ludność biała (60% nie licząc Latynosów), 14,5% to byli czarnoskórzy Amerykanie lub Afroamerykanie, 2,0% było rasy mieszanej, 1,7% to rdzenna ludność Ameryki i 0,6% to byli Azjaci. Latynosi stanowili 23,8% ludności hrabstwa[5].
Religia
