Hrabstwo Sutton – rolnicze hrabstwo położone w USA w stanie Teksas. Utworzone w 1887 r. Siedzibą hrabstwa jest miasto Sonora. Według spisu w 2020 roku populacja hrabstwa spadła do 3372 osób, w tym 63,8% stanowili Latynosi[1].

Gospodarka

Ze względu na półpustynny klimat i skalistą, pagórkowatą topografię tereny hrabstwa Sutton służą do hodowli owiec (17,9 tys. w 2017), kóz (39,7 tys. w 2017) i bydła (13,3 tys. w 2017)[2][3]. W 2012 roku hrabstwo posiadało największe stada kóz w USA, liczące ponad 55 tysięcy sztuk[4].

Także przemysł naftowy, myślistwo i turystyka odgrywają ważną rolę w gospodarce hrabstwa, a największą atrakcją są jaskinie Sonora[2]. Najważniejszymi zasobami naturalnymi hrabstwa są umiarkowane rezerwy ropy naftowej i gazu, których wydobycie nastąpiło pod koniec lat 60. i 70. XX wieku[5].
