London Women’s Sevens 2012 – oficjalny międzynarodowy turniej żeńskich reprezentacji narodowych w rugby 7 rozegrany pod egidą IRB. Odbył się wraz z turniejem męskim w dniach 12–13 maja 2012 roku w Londynie będąc trzecim turniejem jedynego sezonu IRB Women’s Sevens Challenge Cup.
Informacje ogólne
Rozegrane na dwóch stadionach w Londynie zawody były ostatnimi z trzech turniejów jedynego sezonu IRB Women’s Sevens Challenge Cup, poprzednika IRB Women’s Sevens World Series. Wzięło w nich udział dwanaście żeńskich reprezentacji narodowych podzielonych w pierwszej fazie rozgrywek na trzy czterozespołowe grupy rywalizujące systemem kołowym o awans do ćwierćfinałów – awansowały do nich dwie czołowe drużyny z każdej z grup oraz dwie z najlepszymi bilansami spośród tych z trzecich miejsc. W drugim dniu zawodów odbyła się natomiast faza play-off. Półfinały i finał zostały rozegrane na Twickenham Stadium, pozostałe mecze zaś na sąsiadującym boisku Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School[1][2][3][4].
W zawodach triumfowała reprezentacja Anglii w finale pokonując Holenderki, w meczu o trzecie miejsce lepsze od Australijek okazały się Kanadyjki[5][6][7].
