24. Mistrzostwa świata w łyżwiarstwie szybkim w wieloboju sprinterskim odbyły się w Ikaho, w Japonii, w dniach 27–28 lutego 1993. Zawody rozegrano na sztucznym torze w Machiyama Highland Skating Center. Zawodnicy dwukrotnie startowali na dystansach 500 i 1000 metrów. Tytułu sprzed roku obroni: Chinka Ye Qiaobo oraz Białorusin Igor Żelezowski.

W zawodach wzięło udział 31 łyżwiarek (30 sklasyfikowanych) oraz 32 łyżwiarzy (29 sklasyfikowanych) z 17 krajów.
