Bieg na 3000 metrów kobiet – jedna z konkurencji biegowych rozgrywanych podczas lekkoatletycznych mistrzostw świata w 1987 na Stadionie Olimpijskim w Rzymie.
Zwyciężczynią została Tetiana Samolenko ze Związku Radzieckiego, która na tych mistrzostwach zwyciężyła również w biegu na 1500 metrów. Tytułu zdobytego na poprzednich mistrzostwach nie broniła Mary Decker ze Stanów Zjednoczonych.

ADN-ZB Kluge 6.5.84 Potsdam: DDR-Meisterschaften in der Leichtathletik- Ulrike Bruns (ASK Vorwärts Potsdam) verbesserte am 5.5.84 als neue DDR-Meisterin über 3.000 Meter mit 8:42,81 Minuten ihren eigenen Landesrekord aus dem Vorjahr um zwei Sekunden. Ulrike Bruns gewann auf dieser Strecke ihren vierten Meistertitel seit 1976.
