Rzut oszczepem mężczyzn był jedną z konkurencji rozgrywanych podczas VII Mistrzostw Europy w Belgradzie. Kwalifikacje rozegrano 14 września, a finał 15 września 1962. Zwycięzcą tej konkurencji został reprezentant ZSRR Jānis Lūsis. W rywalizacji wzięło udział dwudziestu pięciu zawodników z trzynastu reprezentacji.
