Nyanza (również Nyabisindu[1]) – miasto w Rwandzie, stolica Prowincji Południowej oraz dystryktu Nyanza[2].
Miejscowość liczy 56 tys. mieszkańców (2006)[1]. Miasto stanowiło stolicę Królestwa Rwandy[3].
Etymologia
W języku kinyarwanda Nyanza oznacza jezioro, co prawdopodobnie odnosi się do jeziora zlokalizowanego nieopodal miasta[2].
