100 m stylem motylkowym mężczyzn – jedna z konkurencji pływackich rozgrywanych podczas XIX Igrzysk Olimpijskich w Meksyku. Eliminacje i półfinały odbyły się 20 października, a finał 21 października 1968 roku.
Wszystkie miejsca na podium w tej debiutującej na igrzyskach konkurencji zajęli Amerykanie. Douglas Russell, który ustanowił rekord olimpijski zarówno w eliminacjach jak i w półfinale, w wyścigu finałowym wyrównał swój rekord, uzyskawszy czas 55,9. Srebrny medal zdobył rekordzista świata Mark Spitz (56,4). Brąz, z czasem 57,2, wywalczył Ross Wales.
