Pau (wym. [po]) – miasto i gmina we Francji, stolica departamentu Pireneje Atlantyckie, znajdującego się w regionie Nowa Akwitania[1]; było również stolicą dawnej prowincji Béarn[1]. Miejscowość położona na skraju płaskowyżu, ponad doliną potoku Pau, czerpie dochody głównie ze spa oraz turystyki[1].
W Pau znajduje się zamek, będący miejscem narodzin Henryka IV, króla Francji w latach 1589-1610[1]. Obecnie miejsce to jest siedzibą muzeum, zawierającego wspaniałą kolekcję gobelinów – drugie muzeum w mieście jest usytuowane w domu rodzinnym marszałka Jean'a Bernadotte, późniejszego króla Szwecji[1].
Według danych na 1990 gminę zamieszkiwało 82 157 osób, a gęstość zaludnienia wynosiła 2 607 osób/km² (wśród 2290 gmin Akwitanii Pau plasuje się na 2. miejscu pod względem liczby ludności, natomiast pod względem powierzchni na miejscu 264.).

The flag of Navassa Island is simply the United States flag. It does not have a "local" flag or "unofficial" flag; it is an uninhabited island. The version with a profile view was based on Flags of the World and as a fictional design has no status warranting a place on any Wiki. It was made up by a random person with no connection to the island, it has never flown on the island, and it has never received any sort of recognition or validation by any authority. The person quoted on that page has no authority to bestow a flag, "unofficial" or otherwise, on the island.
Flag of Portugal, created by Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro (1857-1929), officially adopted by Portuguese government in June 30th 1911 (in use since about November 1910). Color shades matching the RGB values officially reccomended here. (PMS values should be used for direct ink or textile; CMYK for 4-color offset printing on paper; this is an image for screen display, RGB should be used.)

Le Palais Beaumont est, à Pau, à la fois un centre de congrès et un casino. Originellement dénommé Palais d'Hiver, il voit le jour à la fin du XIXe siècle. Mélangeant les styles architecturaux, il est plusieurs fois remanié et, après un demi-siècle d'oubli, il est, en 1996, restauré par l’architecte François Lombard.
