Sant'Agata dè Goti (<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/krisdecurtis/524581447/map/?view=everyones" target="_blank">map</a>) is an important place of the Italian cultural tourism. Ancient city of the province of Benevento, located on one tuff terrace between two affluents of the Isclero river, Sant'Agata of the Goti is situated in the splendid valley of the Sannio and offers a rich artistic historical patrimony to visit, beyond to typical wine and food products of the zone. The name Sant' Agata dè Goti trace the origin to the VIth century a.C., when the Goti, defeats in the 553 a.C. in the battle of the Vesuvius, obtained to remain in their fortresses as subjects of the empire: a colony of Goti settled down here.

Antica città della provincia di Benevento, posizionata su una terrazza tufacea tra due affluenti del fiume Isclero, Sant’Agata dei Goti è situata nella splendida valle del Beneventano e offre un ricco patrimonio storico artistico da visitare, oltre a prodotti enogastronomici tipici della zona. Il nome attuale, Sant’Agata dè Goti, risale al sec. VI d.C., quando i Goti, sconfitti nel 553 d.C. nella battaglia del Vesuvio, ottennero di rimanere nelle loro fortezze come sudditi dell’impero: una colonia di Goti si stabilì qui.
