1993 Mercedes 500E (14366135857)

At first I thought I was onto a winner with the "cheap cars with expensive plates" but I later found out this car is anything but cheap. This is the top of the range 500E model, which was hand built by Porsche , each car taking 18 days to build.

It's a bit of a sleeper really, with a 5.0 litre V8 engine doing 0-62mph in under 6 seconds and being limited to 160mph. I think it looks absolutely brilliant, especially in black, and although I don't think the plates are strictly legal, they go with the colour scheme rather well.

They're also extremely rare- only 29 were imported to the UK in its lifespan, although this one was imported in 2012. All 500Es were LHD. I'd absolutely love a car like this, very rarely seen and fast too, as well as being comfortable. Surprised to see this just in the normal car park and not in the show itself.
