Photography of a drape painted (from a large painting, oil on canvas of the nineteenth century located in the Atrium) distorted (by shooting made of bias, and changed color) made in the Palace of Fine Arts in Lille in 2016 during the launch ot the WikiMuseum project.
This picture tries to illustrate the pleasure to let the eye wander on this type of detail, which - seen close - evokes abstract and aesthetic forms that invite to dream. It is also a form of tribute and thanks to the painter (and those of his students who would eventually participated in the work, which is monumental). Guess what this painting is.
