This photograph appeared in a programme distributed to audience members at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. The Guthrie's Librarian and Literary Specialist, Jo Holcomb, wrote to User:Pacostein in an email: "Your inquiry concerning the photograph of Edgardo Mortara has been referred to me for response. The photograph was part of an exhibit sponsored by the Center for Contemporary Jewish Documentation in Milan. We contacted the center several times with regard to the source of the photograph and have never received a response. We do know that the source is Italian and that the photograph is over 100 years old and assume that there are no rights issues since we have been unable to get an answer."
