Built by the Khar'kov Transport Machine-building Works in 1948. This Is a modification of the class TE1 diesel locomotive for use in the extremely low temperatures of the far north. Worked on Moscow-Kursk, Northern, Orenburg and Turkestan-Siberian railways. Received by the museum from the UM Trust at Cheliabinsk in 1992.
