  • It can be dated by various events in the history of RCA and Jefferson Airplane.
RCA began using a "block format" logo in 1968 as seen on the complete photo, and also began phasing out the "Nipper" dog trademark, restoring it again in 1976.
Jefferson Airplane began the use of their own record label, Grunt, (still held by RCA) in 1971.
Later publicity photos Example are listed as "Grunt Records-manufactured and distributed by RCA Records.
Later publicity photos of Slick for her solo albums which were done under the RCA Records label Example are listed "RCA Records and Cassettes". When the photo for this file was taken, the music industry had not yet started to distribute music to any great extent, if at all, with this medium--vinyl records were the only way recorded music was sold. The photo for this file lists only "RCA Records".
