page (cropped) of M I 496, a bifolium of a 11th-century ms. of Historia Langobardorum which had later been used as a binding (detached from a Freising print dated 1697). Carolingian minuscule, comparable to that in Wolfenbüttel, Herzog-August-Bibliothek, Cod. 45. The text is from book 3, c. 15-19 (MGH 48, 122ff.).
