Detailled map of the Electorate of Trier with its subdivisions, by Johann Baptist Homann, c. 1720. A number of small enclaves and exclaves, including the territories of the independent Imperial Knights, are not indicated. The Archbishop-Elector's residence was at Ehrenbreitstein near Coblenz, at the eastern end of the Electorate.
