Opis:

The shoe factory at Ottmuth (Otmęt) was built 1929-1931 by the Deutsche Schuh-AG Baťa in the same modern manner as other Baťa satellites. The company was named Baťa AG from 1935 to 1938, afterwards OTA Schlesische Schuh-Werke Ottmuth AG – when the Nazis made the Baťa family retire from the company. During World War II it was staffed by forced labour, perhaps also from Stalag VIIIb.
