Opis:

This granite dome has a long, low-slope side on the right and a short, steep side on the left. It formed by glacial abrasion and plucking. Such glacially eroded knobs of bedrock are called roches moutonnées. The long side is the up-glacier side. The short side is the down-glacier side (= the direction the glacier was moving).

The rocks are porphyritic granodiorites.

Geologic unit: Cathedral Peak Granite, mid-Late Cretaceous 86-88 Ma
