Opis:

American WW2 era Self-propelled Anti-tank gun Designer:- F.F.Petrov Manufacturer:- Diamond T Built:- 1942 to 1943 Total Production:- 962 Main Armament:- 57mm gun M1 Designed and built in the USA as the T-48 Gun Motor Carriage, the SU-57 was effectively an M3 Half-Track mounting the 57mm M1 gun, which itself was a license built British QF 6 pounder. The entire production of the type was intended for British use in the Western Desert, however this campaign had ended by the time they were delivered and therefore 650 of them found themselves on the way to the Soviet Union as part of the Soviet Aid Program. The Soviets used them across the Eastern Front and particularly during Operation Bagration, the 1944 Soviet Belorussian Strategic Offensive Operation. This example is on display in Hall 10 of the Patriot Museum Complex. Park Patriot, Kubinka, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
