A Royal Navy Supermarine Scimitar F.1 from 803 Naval Air Squadron, assigned to the aircraft carrier HMS Hermes (R12), after landing on deck of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CVA-59) in the Mediterranean Sea, circa 1962. The U.S. Navy carriers Forrestal and USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) were conducting joint operations with Hermes and HMS Centaur (R06).
