Full view of the only pediment (north) that was completed at the Museum of Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From left to right, the figures (and their identifying features) are:
- An owl, representing the night
- Eos, a dawn goddess (with a star on her brow).
- Nous, personifying the mind (with a veil over the head)
- Adonis (with a lyre)
- Eros (with wings)
- Hippomenes the lion (behind Eros)
- Aphrodite (with a tiara of small discs)
- Zeus, at the center (with a solar crown, golden globe & scepter)
- Demeter (the a blue headscarf)
- Triptolemus, a child Demeter nursed
- Ariadne (sitting), who helped to overcome the Minotaur
- Theseus the hero (with a sword)
- The Minotaur (with hooves for feet)
- Python, a beast slain by Apollo [not shown]
